Papa's Gonna Buy You a Mockingbird Chapter 3 (Previously Untitled)
Title: Papa's Gonna Buy You a Mockingbird
Canon: Weiss Kreuz
Disclaimer: These boys do not belong to me at all. They belong to Takehito Koyasu and Project Weiss.
Note: Italics denote mental speech. Time frame is just a few months before Gluhen. AU
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: No pairing yet.
Warnings: This will contain male pregnancy (Mpreg), however because of the way the plot is set up it is closer to implantation. Since the pregnancy is unplanned there will at least be the mention of abortion. I cannot say this enough. If you are Not interested in this kind of story just pass it by. It's easier for everyone that way, I promise. There may be Slash (male/male romance) at some point, but that all depends on the way the plot develops. I am playing around a bit with some hinted background for Schwarz (spelling of this name may be wrong in previous parts. I'll try to get around to fixing it soon), Ezsett, and Rosenkrüs, as well as playing with science as it has been revealed to work in the Weiss world.
Characters: Brad Crawford, Yoji Kudou, Aya Fujimiya, Schuldig, Ken Hidaka, Omi Tsukino, Farfarello/Jei, Nagi Naoe. There may be mention of an OC named David at some point as well.
Timeframe: At this point it has been a few weeks to a month since Yoji's disappearance.
Summary: Aya isn't handling Yoji's disappearance well at all so when Kritiker won't bring them any answers he decides the only choice is to get them himself, and desperate times often call for desperate measures.
Aya was doing his best to focus on work at the flower shop, but it became obvious by the way Ken and Omi were looking at him that he wasn't being very helpful. He gave a soft sigh mumbling that he would leave the rest to them and headed to his room. He wasn't sure why they seemed so worried. He hadn't done anything out of the ordinary. He'd even made sure to tell everyone, when the shop was at it's busiest, that if they weren't going to buy anything they could just leave. Still, something was bothering Ken and Omi. He couldn't just sit and so he decided to head downstairs.
Yes, he usually left research to Kritiker and to Omi, but since he was getting the hint that maybe it was effecting him more than he thought he decided now was the time to do something about it. He stared at the computer for a few moments before he started his search. He had to get together in his head what he knew.
Fist, Yoji had a plane ticket to England. Okay, so step one was he needed to do was make sure if Yoji even left the country or not. That would require legwork more than computer work. He'd have to settle for what he could do here and now, which was checking the cameras to see if he could tell if Yoji got on the plane or not. It took him a while to find and then break into the airport's system, and even longer to watch the film until when he was certain that Yoji should have shown up. When he got to that point and slowed it down it was obvious that Yoji never reached the gate.
Okay, next he needed to focus on who might have the motive, and the opportunity, to get to Yoji before he could start his mission. Aya did his best to think back and he was certain he hadn't noticed anything strange before Yoji was due to leave. Schwarz was his most obvious choice. It wouldn't have been hard for the American to see something and for Schuldig to mess with Yoji's head. What he was left with at this point was how to narrow down where they were. Ken was due to leave in just two days so he was sure Omi wouldn't be happy with him taking off to go investigate. What options did he have though? He could keep it a secret from Omi and work on it when he wasn't at the flower shop. Since they were already preparing for Omi to officially take over as Persia while Ken was on his mission then Aya could easily take advantage of Omi being distracted. Okay, it wasn't much, but he could work with it. He would have a hard time of it if they weren't near the city, which he couldn't count on.
He sighed making sure to do his best to erase what he had worked on. He knew if Omi wanted to that wouldn't mean much, but he at least needed to put forth the effort. When he was done he headed back upstairs to start working on his plan. Of course there was only one obvious course of action. He'd have to contact Schwarz. If they didn't have Yoji then he could probably get some information out of them. The contacting them was the hard part. He wasn't sure of the range of Schuldig's telepathy. He went out onto the roof and tried to send his thoughts out. He had practiced at keeping the telepath out, but now he was trying to use some of those same ideas to send out that he wanted to meet, though not the reason why. If they didn't know, after all, he was going to do his best to keep them from finding out. It would require him to be on his guard at all times, especially if this worked.
If it worked then he could expect....something maybe tomorrow at the earliest. It didn't even occur to him how dangerous it was contacting their enemies. He had a course of action, and he would see it through. I will find you, Yoji. He wasn't looking too closely at his reasons for being so desperate to find the other man. All that mattered was that he find Yoji, and that Yoij made it home safely. It took him a while to fall asleep that night, but when he did he could swear he heard a nasal laugh. In his dream he was running, though he'd never seen the place before in the dream it was familiar somehow. Before he entered the building he paused long enough to see the address. Yoji was here. He knew it, though he didn't know how. When he woke up a couple of hours later he heard, "I gave you what you wanted. Come find us, Abyssinian." He dressed quickly and made an excuse to Omi before getting in his car. He'd just have to play along if this was a trap. Dammit, he thought as he pulled out doing his best just to focus on where he was going.
