Tempation Chapter 1

Disclaimer and Warnings: This is an original idea inspired by IM conversations with [livejournal.com profile] golden_purple18, Weiss Kreuz and my own sick imagination. This will be male/male at some point later on. It belongs to me, as do any mistakes since I still haven't fixed the beta situation. And Yair is Hebrew for Enlightened. The rating so far is PG to Pg-13. Any change will be noted.

It had started slowly, like the drip of water in a bucket. More people able to see ghosts, predict the future, read minds...no one had suspected what it would become at first. Those studying the paranormal became concerned immediately doing any studies they possibly could. It seemed the abilities were stronger too. There was no doubt when the data came in that the proof was there. No one was really worried though. Some even believed it was part of evolution, just the natural development of the human mind. But a few took notice. They watched, and waited, and planned. Finally, it came to their attention that there were those born with some natural resistance to mental attacks. Immediately, and through any means necessary, they took charge of these children training them. Should any of these 'enhanced' humans step over the line, they would have a way to bring them to justice. They had even come up with jail cells that limited, and canceled out, such powers. These defenders were barely allowed lives as they went from mission to mission. Of course, eventually some became special. This meant more freedom, but it also meant harder targets.

Yair was nursing his drink watching everyone in the club. His target should have come in by now, but there was no sign and he was beginning to get antsy, which was never a good sign. His blond hair was pulled back away from his face and his emerald green eyes scanned the room. He thought about standing, going to the bar and trying to blend in more, but then this was business and should be kept separate from pleasure since he couldn't help but notice the lovely bartender. He was actually debating just giving up and going home fearing that he was wasting his time on a false lead when he saw him. At first he wasn't completely sure, but he had a very good memory and his target hadn't bothered to change his looks all that much. Got ya, he thought to himself standing slowly and languidly making use of his body to get the other man's attention. He felt the 'pull' as it had been named almost immediately. He let his hair out of it's holder so that it could fall in front of his face hiding his smirk as he walked slowly, and with purpose, towards the bar.

"You are very pretty." He felt the touch on his hair and had to keep from pulling away. He must pretend he was completely enthralled or his cover might be blown. "This place it too crowded I think we should find someplace more quiet to talk." Yair felt his arm caught in a tight grip. "Oh, and don't worry detective I have plans for you quite different than killing you, or attempting to break you for that matter." Fuck, he thought to himself not managing to the break the other man's grip. "You and I are going to have a long talk. And if you are nice, cooperative, you will live through it."

Actually, mainly 'Weiss' approved abilities, so mental only, though actually it does give me a lot to work with.

It sort of is like X-Men with the 'normals' against the 'enhanced'..hmmmmmm...
