Okay, so I love the historical romance author Amanda Quick, and was inspired by

leenyland and her Roberts Legacy. Also, I realized when doing my last legacy that having a naming theme that would cover 10 generations would make the whole thing a whole lot easier. So, basically each generation will get a book and their names will come out of that novel.

I also tried something a little different, but as of this post I haven't completed my idea, but I will go into that later. Basically, I'm trying to have a challenge for each generation. As of now I've failed with my first gen challenge, but hopefully I'll have more luck with later generations.

This is Amanda Quick.

Her stats. Sadly, that LTW is so not happening.

This is her shack. I am doing my best not to cheat with this legacy. I have, to this point, used no money cheats. I have used maxmotives a couple of times, mainly for skilling purposes, but I seem to be doing better about my addiction.

And the first thing she does is bird watch. I guess she doesn't have much else to do while she waits for people to visit so it works. Since she's not very active jump roping was definitely out of the question.

So, eventually someone does pass by. She jumps on this chance to brag about herself. As you can see it isn't going well. Maybe a close-up on her face might give us some insight as to the guy's aversion to hearing about her greatness.

Yeah...okay now I might understand.

So, since she is pretty poor she decided to try and freestyle for some tips. At first the guy seemed to be feeling it, but then he started booing her so no tips to be had.

Well here is the welcome wagon. Hi Nervous Subject. So if it wasn't obvious what neighborhood this was in it should be now. (Okay, I guess I could have downloaded one of the megahoods around, but I'm a little afraid to do that so yeah Strangetown it is.)

Nervous thought it would be funny to prank Amanda.

Not a good idea, Nervous. Not a good idea at all. At least she has more than one nice point. I must admit here there was some shoving/poking that I didn't get a pick of so yeah Amanda was pretty pissed at Nervous' little prank.

Since we kind of need another person to get this legacy going Amanda goes Downtown. Now, while I'm sure that is one way to get attention, dear, I don't think it will be the....oh never mind you're a Romance Sim so carry on...well unless you get arrested, but then I'm sure the readers will appreciate drama.

There didn't seem to be too many people around so Amanda decided to get down with her bad self.

I'm sure no one saw you, Dear. (They so totally did probably, but we'll let her believe otherwise.)

Since she didn't have more than six bucks to her name it was job time. I don't remember what I put her in, but she didn't stay too long. You'll see why soon.

Along, with money from her job she decided to dig for that cash. It took a little while, and a lot of digging, but she did find some to help.

As evidenced by the new stuff seen here. Bonuses helped as well. I think she got a couple of promotions by this point. She worked and dug a lot for the next couple of days.

Yay the bathroom now has walls! And she is heading out to another night on the town.

Part of that night out is celebrating with a picture, oh wait that might have been for me.

Oh boy she has found the Karaoke machine, and I don't think she has one creative point. This is where I scroll away to see what else is going on.

I don't think she minds I'm leaving.

Oh oh! Pretty bartender with interesting genetics!

Bartender: I like it when things go up.
Amanda: *listens intently*

Bartender: You can make so much gold playing the stock market.
Amanda: Oh, for a second I thought you might be insinuating something, but yeah okay that works too.

Run, Amanda, run. I don't think she's had her drinks yet.

Amanda: *gets her flirt on*

Wow, that worked well.

Really well.

I think Amanda approves of how the night has gone so far.

No surprise this is happening.

I don't think it slows the girls down any though.

Yeah, that guy there creeped on them the whole end of their time together. When Amanda finally left he started to follow them down the stairs.

Amanda returns home and invites Bella over continuing the love fest.

Which of course leads her to ask Bella to move in.

Just enjoying the cuteness, and sharing that this is when Amanda became pregnant. I might eventually get gutsy enough to play with silent pregnancy, but probably not for a long while. I like knowing!

Just showing you the updated house. I do have a plan in mind eventually, but I don't know if I'll wait for a move to build it or not yet.

They do clean quite a bit, actually, but for some reason this counter missed it until I directed someone to take care of it.

Amanda: I need people to talk to! Bella is too busy skilling for a promotion and sleeping. Fix this!

Amanda: So yeah, this guy, so not cool. He didn't appreciate me at all. I'm awesome and he didn't want to hear it.

Amanda: I'm sleepy. Fix it!

Begin Bella dancing spam.

/end spam. You are fierce, girl. But we already knew that.

Magic Lamp! According to the memories it was for Amanda.

Amanda: Yay painting!

Second pop. Well, okay a second or two after the second pop.

Eventually the tub breaks down. That is the calmest I have ever seen a Sim when fixing anything.

Labor. And it is in the bathroom...which also happens to be the smallest room. At least the family isn't very big right now.

Quick question: Your child has just been born...what is the first thing you do? Why clean the tub of course! Didn't you know?

They had a daughter. Meet Charlotte. All children this gen will be named after characters from the novel Affair. She has Amanda's custom eyes, and Bella's hair. She has a skintone that is pretty close to Bella's, but I believe it is between those of her mothers.

And she is getting attention. This is very good. Let us see if they keep it up.

Just showing the nursery, and the fact that (if you look closely) you can see the radio pretty much constantly stays on.

Amanda: Oh the rain is so interesting, yet I know there is something very important I'm forgetting. (This picture also shows that I FINALLY remembered to buy them a stove. I, for the longest time, couldn't figure out why they couldn't make hot meals. Yeah, I am teh smart I know.)

Amanda: *splash, splash, splash* (Why yes I made Bella put Charlotte back in the crib)

And we leave the happy family with Bella enjoying her favorite pastime and Amanda studying...lifelong happiness I think before I send her out for another night on the town. I guess here I can say what I wanted to do with the first generation. I had hoped (in vain) to have Amanda have at least three children with three different people. I'm horrible at playing Romance Sims. So far, it is not going quite as planned, but I don't want to say too much until the next update.
