Movies...

Wow...this is amazing two posts in one day. I haven't done this in about a year? Anyway, basically this post is kinda of me finally commenting on some of the movies that I have seen recently and the ones that I want to see....

I'm not a film critic and in some ways really don't like evaluating films too deeply because I think that takes away from just enjoying them for what they are. That being said I want to say that I really enjoyed the three movies I have seen this summer. Revenge of the Sith, Batman Begins, Howl's Moving Castle....I must admit to being a little partial since I really like Christian Bale(to be honest I have only seen Velvet Goldmine but I am anxious to see more of what he's done). When my friend told me he was going to be Batman I knew that I had to see it. I thought that he brought an interesting feel to the character. I appreciated also that it dealt with his beginnings which was really a unique perspective.

I enjoyed Howl's so much that I bought the book(I would be reading it now but I am letting a friend borrow it). I found the character of Howl very interesting and complex because there are times that he appears childlike and yet there are also the times when you see him as very powerful and in charge.

As for Sith, I have been a Star Wars fan since I was young, though I don't think many people who see me know it. Most of the time I am not very obvious I guess, though I do have the novelizations of all of the movies and have several of the Jedi Apprentice books(need more of them they are well written for "Young Reader" type books). I thought this was the best of the six simply because it tied everything together showing, in a very realistic way, how the Republic became the Empire, and how the whole world itself became the darker more lived in place that it was in Episode IV.

There are several movies coming out that I want to see so without further ado... Bewitched....I am a fan, though not Major fan, of the original series. I like the fact that it's going to be a movie within a movie because I think that is a really unique way to deal with it. Fantastic Four.....The main reason I want to see this movie is because the super-hero movies that are coming out now seem to be better written and more thought out. If I think of any others I may post later, so for now......*waves*
