(no subject)

This is one of those "Wow..all of this has happened since I was born" posts. I got to thinking the other day of how much I've seen and how much change I've experienced just since I was a teenager. So, here goes...

*The Fall of the Berlin Wall
*The Vietnam War(ended the year I turned two)
*The rise of computers
*The rise and fall of cassettes
*The rise of CDs
*The rise of MP3s
*The rise of videogames
*The Challenger disaster (we had a snowday that day so my family was watching it on TV).
*The internet
*Several celebrity deaths
*The rise and fall of VHS and Beta videotapes
*Black Monday
*ATMs
*There were several Savings and Loans scandals that changed how finances are handled
*9/11
*Final episodes of such shows as "The Jeffersons" "The Cosby Show" "All in the Family" "Happy Days" "Good Times" "Laverne and Shirley"...just to name a few.
*Nixon's resignation


This is by no means a full list, but it just really made me think how much people have gone through, and will go through, in their lifetimes.
