So I, not so recently, discovered singer/songwriter Ben Jelen (pronounced Yellin). I was finally able to purchase some of his songs. I went on a buying spree on iTunes and bought all of them but five. I'm really glad I did it. I don't have all of them on my iPod yet, but the next time I have to recharge the battery they will be on there.

Yes, this is mostly a Happy post. First, I at last have my iPod again(god was I waiting to use that icon or what?) Now, eventually, when I get my new computer the cassette to mp3 project will resume. Or maybe sooner if I get an external hard-drive like I plan.

Also, I have my Harry Potter tickets. Yes I said tickets; this might take some explanation. When the movies first started coming out I lived in a city without a movie theater and where a taxi ride to the city that did cost about $20. Needless to say I didn't often go see movie by myself(I did have a friend with a car towards the later part of living there) so it was always kind of special when I did. And the Harry movies first came out in November, my birth month, so I went to several viewings on opening day as kind of little getaway and birthday present to myself. Now, I still do it as sort of a tradition.

Now, the not so happy part of this post. I am in summer school. Yuck I say. Still it could be worse and so far classes seem to be going relatively smoothly.

Due to some recent events, and to get ready for next semester, I have a lot of organizing, and reevaluating, to do in my life. I'm not completely sure what this will mean yet, but hopefully it will relive stress at the least.

Finally, again sorry about this. I don't know why I can't seem to update anything larger than one paragraph.

Speaking of which, classes will start June 25 and I'll be getting a paycheck that week and a check from the school from my finacial aid. I am already working on all the things I need to take care of when I get it and then when I get my money in August. The first thing will be an external hard-drive and then I will focus on the new computer and my iPod, after those hopefully some clothes and maybe dvds or whatever.

I just checked, and wow has it been a long time since I've updated, and that sadly was mostly to vent. I suppose it feels weird sometimes to update when not much has changed.

However, I can't really use that as a an excuse this time. There have been a lot changes in my life recently. The biggest, as most everyone knows who has looked at the most recent posts of mine, is that I moved at the end of January. Even with all of the craziness still going on as the house is being worked on I must say I am very happy. It is near school so it usually on takes me five or ten minutes to get here each morning, which means more sleep (this makes for a very happy Marissa). There have been some problems, and minor stresses, but hopefully they are all passed now, or if they continue remain as minor as possible.

My cat, Kyra, is still lost. I don't know what to do since it isn't really feasible for me to go back to my old place and try to look for her. Maybe that will happen eventually, but I don't see it happening anytime soon so I continue to worry. Luckily we managed to hang on to the psycho one, known most of the time as Phantom or Psycho Kitty.

Still working on replacing my iPod, since it would cost more to fix the one I have then to just get a new one. As it gets warmer I get more impatient because I would like to have one so I could go walking more. I also plan to upgrade my computer's memory and ram and get an external hard drive this summer. I love my computer, but it is long past time for an upgrade, seriously.

I've actually been working a bit more with icons lately. I need to go through and work some of the tutorials that I have, and maybe actually seeing about upgrading my photoshop at some point. One of my bosses at work has offered to put it on one of the computers there and work with me on it.

I'm still working on FF12 and Suikoden 5, but they go slowly since school is taking up quite a bit of time recently. Especially this one class that if I didn't absolute need would be dropped so fast it's not even funny. I have a Yu Yu Hakusho video game and well, let's just say as much as I love the series I think that whoever made the game should probably be punished in some horrible, very creative, way because while of course since it is a fighting game there must be button mashing the particular style of button mashing is annoying and makes no sense and seems to require at times extra fingers...perhaps this is just me.

I am still rping, but because of school and a few other things that have sort up happened recently I've not done very much with my pups at all. Hopefully this will change, especially when summer gets here.

I can't wait for summer, mostly for the fact I'll more money than for the VERY warm weather. Also, I probably won't be taking any classes so that will be a bit of a relief. I hope to be able to go to Otakon, but unless I start doing something soon I'm not sure how I will work it out. I still haven't heard from a few places where I sent my stories some months back so I suppose in May it will be time to do the rounds again.

I haven't really thought about the last Harry book yet because it really hadn't hit me until recently how soon it was going to be here. Naturally, like most everyone I have ideas, though they are mostly questions actually that I think she should answer. Of course, I am not holding my breath because I fully accept that maybe I am over-analyzing and I may be the only person who wants to know the answers to certain things(well okay not really but it is possible). If the money situation in April allows I will probably pre-order and get that out of the way then its wait for the movie. Also, there is an animated Dragonlance movie coming out in fall that I'm excited about.

Now that I've rambled (and boy have I rambled) I guess I will take my leave of this post. Hopefully I will actually start updating more, at least this is the plan. Also, I would like to actually have more of my writing here. I still need to work on my homepage as well.

Well I am staying at the new place, there are still some things at my old place but hopefully they won't take very long to take care of. There is still a lot of work going on so that is a bit annoying, but I am dealing. The net is due to be turned Wednesday *crosses fingers that everything works out. When the net gets turned on at my place I hope to be rping again, and also doing a bit more of it. I would like to get my pups out doing things.

I didn't mention this on my interests post(does this mean I am going to edit it yet again? *le sigh*) but I am very fascinated by urban legends (myths) and recently checked out several books by an author who runs a column where he answers questions about them and tries to find their origins. Most of the stories I already knew, but I have seen a couple that I didn't which made it interesting. There used to be a show on TLC that took them and tried to figure out which, if any, were true. I think it still comes on occasionally, but I hardly ever catch it.

School progresses though I am certain that there is one class I will not like no matter what..oh well. I suppose I can't like them all. At least now I am very close to school so it's no problem getting here when I need, or want, to.

Oh, I had my taxes done and I'm not getting near what I used to, so this means no iPod for me. I will just save and hopefully get one in April at the latest, or maybe they can fix my sick one cheaply, but I doubt it.
Okay I fail at updating this journal, so much do I fail that it's not even funny. Anyway, this is my 'OMG! must post' well umm....post.

Christmas was good. I got clothes from mom, a throw which if I understand she actually sewed..I think this is a new hobby of hers but I appear to be out of the loop, some bath stuff and perfume which have a very Japanese feel to them (names like Japanese Cherry Blossom and Orange Flower), I got a pearl necklace set, a necklace, a watch...I'm not sure that this is all but anyway, I got money which allowed me to buy Final Fantasy 12(why do I not have icons yet?), and Lady in the Water. I finally, thanks to a friend, have the guidebook for Final Fantasy 12.

The New Year so far has been interesting. Things have happened in RP which I'm still dealing with, school starts next week and I will be moving before the end of the month. My new place is amazing. It is a house first of all which makes it cool for that alone, but it is also so close to campus that it is such a relief I can't even describe how relieved I am, and oh yes much cheaper than where I am now.

I'm not sure about net interruption yet. It all depends on whether we transfer my cable account or go with direct tv and some form of DSL. I am good either way but maybe just a bit partial to the cable idea.

Alas my iPod is still sick. I hope to send it off this week.

*glances at post* Oh yes, my life it is exciting. *headdesk*

Well the saga of the ipod continues. I tried a few more things, which may have made things worse, and it still is very sick sadly. I now have to decide to either get a new one or send this one off to get fixed. I may end up doing both in January, hopefully before then but who knows.

Other than that not much else going on. I'm still without heat, which hopefully will be fixed by tomorrow because this is really getting ridiculus, and I could really do without one more thing making me want to scream.

Well the ipod is still very sick, which means that daily the chance it will have to get sent off increases but there's been a positive slightly unplanned consequence of all of this mishap.

Lately I've been reconnecting with my cassettes, and I'd forgotten how many great songs I still don't have on my computer. Actually through several things going on that have got me emotionally just ready to scream it's kept me fairly level, which has been just so awesome. Now, this doesn't mean I don't want the ipod back, but I have to admit reconnecting with this music has been pretty nice and something I probably wouldn't have done otherwise.

In other news, I now have one less class since my accounting class ended last week. I am so relieved that it is over, though frankly getting only $30 for something that I paid over $100 for doesn't make me feel giddy in the least, quite the opposite if truth be told.

Still playing catch up, stress level still high..yadda...yadda...yadda. *smiles* Hopefully there will be good updates in the very near future and the stress level will fall.

Well, someone did come check out the heater, but he couldn't do much tonight. He said it's probably the fan or the thermostat itself that isn't connecting to the power. Either way I am hoping that something can be done tomorrow, but since it's really been Friday the 13th for me I'm not holding my breath.

And the ipod is still sick, but I'm hoping it won't have to be sent off.

Aside from trying to get back into the groove of school not much going on...I didn't chicken out of my voice class and am in a chorus so that should be interesting. *grins* I don't think school is going to be too bad this semester most of the classes seem pretty straight forward.

Finally have all of my music, except for maybe about 10 songs, on my iPod...1085 songs..*grins*

I still haven't finished any of my box sets that I bought at Otakon...*laughs* I've watched most of Kare Kano, still have two disks to go though.

I have another website but haven't done anything with it yet. It's much easier to update and things like that but it requires energy which I don't seem to have that much of lately..*grins*

other than this stuff not much going on......I guess I shall update later...
