I know there should be more on here so if you know I've played a game/watched a show/seen a movie/read a book and it isn't on here feel free to ask me who was my fav from it.

As you've noticed I'm trying to get things back on track. I'll be continuing the job search in early September, but for now I'm just going to try to get caught up on things.

Fanfiction wise I am coming to the end of "Tears of Truth" so I'll have to decide if I'm continuing it or not. Either way, I won't be working on anything else until I finish it. I think you can expect the last chapter before the middle of September and then I might put up a post to see if anyone is interested in it going on, and maybe get some ideas where it should go.

As far as RP goes, god how I miss it by the way, I am actually considering apping L somewhere again. I've even gotten him a paid account again. I don't want to get overwhelmed with too many pups though so I'm trying to stay organized and really only focus on those I'm serious about. So far in serious contention are Yoji, L, Anna and Vincent Valentine. I'm going to figure out who I'll be working on first then maybe use dear_mun in order to get more practice in, and look around for different games just in case. I'm pretty sure where I'm going though, but I'll need a bit more time before I'm ready to apply. I want to be in a better state of mind just in case I get a rejection.

EDIT: I hate when that happens. Yeah, I hit the enter button before I was ready.

I also am going to be working on one of my novel ideas. I don't know know where to send it to yet, but I'm finally getting to the point where I'm ready to write again so we'll see how that goes.

Warnings and Notes: I forgot to do this the last time since I know there are a few people who read my journal who may not know much about Sims. First, I use several hacks and mods: Inteenimater (allows adult/teen interactions such as moving out, getting married, same sex couples to give birth, etc.), ACR (autonomous casual romance. This mod allows your sims to do more romantic interactions on their own as well as lowering the relationship scores needed to get romantic options to open), I have a few vampire mods/hacks that might become important later...the biggest thing is that it allows vampires to have a 'killing bite', higher odds for alien abductions, triplets and quads, lot full of sims, I have something that removes the censor blur but for the life of me I can't remember what it is called now, or what it is a part of, do homework (as long as the kids are in a decent mood they will do homework on their own at the same time of day - 7), no friends needed for careers. I have a couple of other things, but they are more like fixes than anything else (stuff with do with heat and cold for seasons, for example).

Second, I have a lot of custom content that I've added to my game. I haven't made a real resource post yet, but I plan to. It'll take a bit since I don't remember where I got some of my older stuff and I'm still weeding out things that I don't use (mostly hair and makeup).

Thirdly, I have a new screen capture program so pictures will be clearer once I start using it. It'll probably take this update and one more before I do.

Finally, I now have all Expansion Packs (University, Night Life, Pets, Bon Voyage, Seasons, Open for Business, Free Time, and Apartment Life) and I have one of the Stuff packs (Teen Life).

Well unless a miracle takes place it looks like I didn't get the library job.

It's sad that I am so bored, and yet have no motivation to do all of the things I'd really like to. Work is draining me so quickly as usual so when I get home I don't have any energy *pout*. On a good note the library position hopefully will be calling me for an interview this week, or early next *crosses fingers*. I was afraid they'd already made their decision, but I talked to someone last week and she said they were still getting ready so there is hope.

Since I am so bored and obviously am having trouble doing anything, please help:

Well, there is a bit to report on the Marissa front.

I've been pretty sick the past couple of weeks, which is most of the reason for my absence from LJ. It was an upper respiratory infection so basically I've just taken lots of medicine and am feeling a little better now.

I still haven't heard anything from the library. I will be calling them tomorrow and hopefully interviews will be happening soon so I should know within the next two weeks whether I will be getting one or not.

I did something a little impetuous, but honestly I've been thinking about it for a while. I am renting to own a PS3 and a 47 inch TV. I know renting to own is more expensive than buying outright, and there are many fees, and my roommie probably thinks I'm nuts for doing it, but I was tired of not having a TV, and I'm not ready to put out as much money as it would take to buy another TV, especially when it is still possible to get my smaller fixed if we can just make it to Lexington before the summer is over. I really feel like I needed to do something for myself while I was so uncertain about everything else, and when I know I'll need to destress if I need to start the job search over again if the library thing doesn't go well, so I think this was good for me, plus this will allow me to have a bigger TV than I would have been able to buy outright for a while. I already know what I have to do, and have planned for the worst case scenario, at least I think. I still hope to get the other one fixed as a back-up just in case, or if I should move out I will have both to have one for my room and everything.

I am dying to RP so hopefully I'll be working on that soon in some form, I'm not sure what yet. I've been not doing much with the sickness and distraction so I'm still at square one, but at least I'm slowly getting my energy back so I can do something.

Oh, I have played my new legacy family for Sims 2 so that will be coming soon. I just need to upload pics and do the first post. I'm not playing anymore until I get that ready and I'm really excited to share so I might do that tomorrow all depending.

Well I did it. All of my neighborhoods in my Sims are back to game new. I have everything backed up in case I change my mind, but I actually like going back to this, at least for the moment. I might start on something new today or tomorrow, Friday at the latest. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. I don't know if I'll try a specific challenge or not and I still haven't decided the whole video thing, because really sometimes I just want to play and not worry about taking pictures. Although, if I do the video thing I'll either have to use the in game capture or remember to turn on a program before I start playing. So yeah still some sorting out to do.

At least all this deciding, and doing some work to get all the neighborhoods clean, has kept me distracted. After today I could be called in for an interview so I'm trying to get ready and just focus on other things to keep the stress level down. I got my hair cut and highlighted the other day, and replaced some old makeup, to get ready just in case. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, but at least I'll now soon so that is helping a little bit.

I love my sims I really do, but for some reason I just can't get motivated to do the next update post. I have the pics saved and everything, actually had them up for a while, but I just haven't done anything. I think maybe I'm going to start a new family so that I can show everything from the beginning. I really like this author named Amanda Quick so I think I might base the naming theme on her books. A legacy author I really like did that and it seemed to work really well. I've also been thinking I might experiment with doing videos, but I will have to learn how to upload to youtube and how to use the Microsoft movie maker to shorten them. I think I just need a fresh start, in fact, I've thought a couple of times of restarting my game from scratch, basically just keeping my downloads.

Oh, and sadly until I hear about the library job, which likely won't be for three weeks, I probably won't be updating my fics. My brain is just a little too scattered to concentrate on them and everything, especially when I've been trying to make the chapters longer and one is close to coming to an end. The same goes for any RP plans. I hadn't even really settled on a game yet, so it's really not a big deal. It just might put things off until September, which will give me a chance to look for another job if I don't get the library one, because really I need something better soon and I want to be adjusted to whatever my new schedule turns out to be, if it changes, so that it won't interfere. This whole waiting and everything has played havoc on my motivation and attention span. Pretty much all I've done, other than work and do laundry, is reread my favorite Sims 2 Legacies and watch a tiny bit of Death Note. I probably would be watching more if the TV I borrowed my roommie when mine broke didn't decide to get worse. It's who knows how many years old so yeah it was expected, but still I don't want to make it worse. So really all I have is my computer, which I don't usually watch DVDs on and my portable DVD player for the moment. While this lack of focus while waiting, or stressed about something, is normal for me I really would like to know how to push past it. I feel like I'm old enough that I should know how to cope more effectively, but sadly I've not made any progress.

Also, along with waiting to hear about the library job I'm sort of trying to figure out about the Grad school thing. In order to get a promotion, if I do get the job, I'll have to get a Library Science degree, before I can do that though I have to take the GRE and pay off what money I still owe EKU. I should be able to do that, even without getting a better job, probably in February, but I don't really want to do it so soon. I don't know I'll figure it out all depending on what happens with the job search.

I went to check the college hiring site and a library job is up. I have applied and will now commence freaking out. I am scared shitless right now.

Okay, first good things:

See Durarara!! If you are into Anime at all, or even if you haven't checked any out you should see it. It takes a few episodes to really get going, but give it a try anyway. I've found several places to watch it online, English subbed, and also it should be officially coming to the States soon, I'm guessing before the end of the year, so you can rent it. There are only 24 episodes so it's not overly long. I hardly ever do recommendation posts because really I don't like to be pushy when I like things, well too pushy, but this show is just really really good, and I think there is probably a character, or just the city itself, that everyone can identify with!

I'm going to start watching Axis Powers Hetalia today so hopefully I will enjoy it and it will be fun and distract me.

Bad things:

I have to get out of fast food like yesterday. I'm going to start looking for office jobs again, which was my intention anyway today just made this need so clear, and if nothing pans out then I am still going to try and have something published by December so I can quit, well I might stay until January if necessary but really I'm going to do all I can to get out there before the end of August. I know I'm not the only one to be in that situation, but I've went through several years of school, have two degrees, and should be past this point in my life. If I can't make my writing career start this year, then at least I'm going to do all I can to be working with either of my degrees somehow. There are still a couple of places to check in town so I'll start next week. It's up to me to change things and I'm going to take the necessary steps.

Interesting Note: I've not actually seen a Penelope Cruz movie all the way through, and I've really only seen one for Scarlett and one for Julianne. Sam as well. This obviously means I should see more movies.

I am so over this heat already, and the sad thing is it's not even the hottest month of the summer yet.

The worst thing is we can't use our air conditioner at the apartment because we had some mold issues earlier and e need to make sure it's cleaned out before we turn it on again. There is good news though. Apparently on the same day they are installing a ceiling fan. I'm not sure how helpful it will be, but with the bad circulation in the house I'm thinking it can't hurt.

As for fics. Since I plan to start RPing in the next couple of months, still not sure exact details yet on anything, I want to get a system going with them because I want to finish them and maybe start reworking on rewriting some older ones. I might do one a week, or one every other day, or something like that. It might be better if they were longer, but that isn't a very big deal at this point. Also a system would help me know when to work on what and organization is a good thing.

I'm also going to be starting my actual money making projects probably in August or September. It'll take a lot of time, and I don't even know where to start, but actually completing the writing part will finish a big step. I mean that way I just have worry about getting to be someone, either a publisher or an agent, and then any editing. Having it already done will make the the whole process, especially while I probably won't have a lot of opportunity to search, easier and I'm all for that.

Since the cable got turned off I've been rewatching things. Mostly to have something on in the background, but also just because I haven't seen these things in so long I'd forgotten how much I'd enjoyed them.

This week(ish) it's been Charmed. I'm almost finished with season 2. It'll be a while before I get to some of my fav episodes but I'm really looking forward to them *grins*. Honestly, it's making me miss RPing Chris so much, but I know it was for the best that I dropped him when I did and I don't think I'll be looking to play him anywhere probably ever again unless something really strange happens. It wasn't exactly how I planned to handle everything, but the first of this year was really a time for reevaluating just about everything in my life.

Also, on the RP front I have a bit of money so I'm considering trying to reset up Yoji's account. I'm tempted to put it off because I'm expecting a new bank card and it would be much easier to not have to worry about changing all of that stuff. I'll think about it after I finish doing stuff on the journal.

Soon, probably before I go to bed tonight, I'll be putting up an 'index' of sorts to all of my current stories. It will include a general summary of each story and the link will go to all tags for that story. I think this will be a pretty decent way to handle things, because honestly I've been on a writing rampage and I've got several going at once, which is something I'm not entirely used to. I'm glad it is happening, don't get me wrong, but I think some organizing just might be in order for everyone's sanity.

Speaking of writing, please don't forget about the polls. Here is the first one, just scroll down a tiny bit. And the second. I plan to attempt to work on this on my next day off, or that night when I get back from work, which as long as nothing changes is Thursday. I'd like to make sure that it's as fair as possible. I do have a few things planned out, but a lot of it depends on how the polls turn out.

Well I caved, and though I feel a bit guilty, I am now back on wireless. So far it has been an adventure, and not in a good way, but for now things seem quite stable. It seems about on par with the wireless we had so far.

I work tomorrow evening and then have the next two days off so I'll probably catch up on things then. I seem to be mostly morning shift, which will take a bit of getting used to, but I so like it. My sleep schedule will take some adjusting, but I don't mind. It will be nice to come home and have time to take care of things are relax.

I hoping to work on all my fics I wanted to get out in the next few days as well. I hope to have one posted by tonight, although I don't know which one just yet.

I will be working to get for RP stuff probably next week, or maybe later this week. I need to figure out where I am going to put an app, or apps, in and then actually work on it and buy paid time for Yoji.


Is anyone else having problems with last.fm detecting things for LJ? I'm still getting used to this set-up so I don't know if it's that or something else going on.

Well, so far I'm coping with the sporadic 'Net. I'm not coping well though. I keep telling myself only a couple of weeks and things will be back together, but that doesn't work near as much as I would like.

I will be coming back with lots of fics- Tears of Truth will have at least another chapter the week I get back, the final chapter of the 'Private Dancer' verse will be posted around the same time and I am also working on a new Weiss fic. It will be very different from what you have seen so far. Very plot heavy, and will include some playing around with 'Weiss' science. Yes, there is a reason I'm putting it like that...those who have seen the show will understand. It will have quite a few warnings and for that reason will be friends locked. It will also contain several polls as I'm hoping to have it be a little interactive, at least at the beginning. I'm also going to go back and try to continue the other fics I've got going including Honey and Closer.

As for the things I'll be working on to try and sell they may take a few weeks more for me to be ready to move on with them. One requires a lot of paperwork, which will be the culmination of several months work, and the other one needs a detailed outline as well as some character development and such. I think I have the plot down, but really I won't know how much work it needs until I get the basic foundation. There are several other things I'm going to try and work on, but these two are the priority for the moment.

I also intend to continue trying to get a library job, or go back to school in January. It will take a lot of planning for me to go back so I'm just going to see where that goes. I will have to move to a different city, and possibly live in the dorms to get the degree I really want, but I may talk to people at Eastern because they have a degree that covers grade school library science so it may just be easier to do that then take a semester at UK to get the ones required for college, or you know I may totally not know what I'm talking about and really they won't work well together at all so yeah I'll figure that out first before I make any solid plans one way or another.

Finally, on an RP note. I want to get back into things slowly simply because I have found that if I let myself get too stressed it just plays havoc with trying to keep up in LJ RP. I close off and even though I want to interact I end up doing nothing. I guess I get overwhelmed easily. I'm trying to learn some stress management techniques that work for me, one of which would be getting a library job, but realistically that isn't something I can plan on any time soon, so yeah back to the drawing board on that one. One plan I'm working on is limiting myself to maybe 3 or 4 characters no matter how RPs I might be in. This way I can really concentrate on them and it won't be as hard to meet requirements. I'm still working things out in my head for now since I can't really say how things will go once I get the wireless. After all, Yoji's voice came back and so now he is back in the mix. So much for starting completely clean, which really isn't all bad because he's Yoji after all.

Mostly these are the things I'm thinking about for the summer, and early autumn. As long as there are no unforeseen issues once I settle into somewhat of a routine at McDonald's I should be able to relax and figure out where to go from here. I like my routines I admit.

I don't have too long until I need to get ready for work, but I am in an RP mood, like WOAH, so I thought I would do a bit of a meme as I slowly prepare to get back into things.
